When were you most stoked to have a helmet on? I flipped at the bottom of a rapid on the Big East Fork of the Pigeon and landed in about five inches of water.
Who is your hero? My mom comes first in line, she’s about as strong as women get and she’s by biggest fan. Paddling wise, I would say Tanya Faux. She is such an amazing person all around, both on and off the water.
What is your favorite helmet? Custom designed TDub. Any color, any pattern, as long as its a SR!!
Who on the Shred Ready team do you admire the most? Andrew Holcombe and Anna Levesque are both amazing people. They care a lot about the community and do so many great things to better the sport
What do you do when you are not paddling? It depends on what time of the year it is. Summer time you will find me sun tanning on my deck, fall you will find me cross training for races, winter I will lay on the couch and get fat, spring I try to loose the fat so I can go tanning on my deck in the summer. It all goes around in a huge circle.
What goals do you have for the future? I would like to go back to school but I also want to be able to get on the Stikine and run some new creeks around North Carolina. Summer I will be in Colorado for the Teva Mountain Games and hope to come home with some cash at hand. I want to keep training as hard as possible so I can chase down the fast guys at the Green Race
What are your biggest accomplishments? Being the second women to run Big Boy on Raven Fork, first women to drop below 5 minutes in the Green Race, and being a member of the US Freestyle Kayak Team in 2009.
Quote for your life? I do what I love and I love what I do.
